  • Young In Hong: 'Five Acts'

Saturday 27 April
Spike Island, 15:00 — 16:00
Book tickets

A performance that draws inspiration from Korean shamanic traditions, where drums and rhythmic instruments are used to blur the divide between the human and the divine.

It features a Taiko drummer and four performers who activate a series of percussion instruments, exploring alternative and non-verbal responses to history, narrative and form.

The work invokes a premodern sensibility, particularly the concept of the sacred, suggesting that artworks can embody forgotten powers that go beyond representation.

Performed by Molly Olivia Broad, Emma Holbrook, Johnny Jones, Eden Leo and Clara Potter- Sweet.

Performance: 15:00
Free entry, but ticketed.

The Young in Hong Five Acts exhibition at Spike Island is open from 12:00 - 17:00 throughout the Festival (Thursday - Sunday). Free entry.
