‘breathing.systems’ is an immersive performance that combines classical vocals, spatial sound and group choreography. Utilising a bespoke, wireless, multi-speaker sound system worn by a group of performers, the piece creates a communal, fluid, sound body, dispersing the artist’s voice. Each performer constitutes a networked node – a collaborator, a carrier, a member of a temporal community. Spanning Neo-Gregorian and harmony singing traditions via queer club acoustics, performers move in and around the audience, enveloping them within a deeply embodied listening experience.
Performances start 11.30, 12.40, 13.50 & 15.00
